Stuff for Friday

Harriet (our SUV) is sick again. We're going to be best friends with the nice lady at Budget Rental Car before long.

How is it that the alarm clock radio was perfectly timed to go off just at the exact moment in the song "Love Shack" so that the thing that woke us up this morning was that B-52s woman SCREAMING "Tin Roof! Rusted." Seriously, it scared me to death.

I may never have to exfoliate again. Dobby is quite the little face licker and his sandpaper tongue is pretty rough. It actually hurts if he ventures over more sensitive parts of my face.

My mom, after reading the Silly Meme, informed me via email that I was born at 12:12 pm after "hours of excruciating labor." I replied, "well, wasn't it was worth it?" and she responded with a lawyer joke. I'm not sure how to take that. ;)

The Tigers won last night, they beat Houston 79-69. I'm glad they're winning, I hope they're able to keep it up. They're ranked #19 right now. It's funny, there have been (many) seasons I would have been thrilled with that ranking. Interesting how one #1 seed and a near trip to the Final Four can change your perspective.

Ha, ha, yes his tongue is pretty rough. I used to only let him get a couple of licks at a time and then stop him. You can stop him easily by blowing in his face. He hates that!

Bummer on the SUV, and that would have scared the pee out of me for my alarm clock to kick in at that point, LOL! I don't like to wake to music in the AM for that exact reason, you never know what you're going to get :)

Go Tigers!

Oh, I think I might have thrown the clock radio across the room. I HATE that song. It's like fingernails down a chalkboard annoying to me, and unfortunately I hear it all the time since it's a favorite on WRVR and the only station in town I can stomach.

Yay for the Tigers! I had at least one eye on the game last night. I'm thrilled with the Grizzlies win over the Lakers the other night, too.

durn SUVs.

Jazper is a nose licker, and yeah, I know what you mean about the tender spots!
Now he's gotten so he sits by the laptop and tries to scratch my face if I won't pick him up -- I keep threatening to attempt soft paws again with him (I shake the little box in front of his "but I'm so innocent" face!)

This morning my alarm clock was little Chloe jumping (her new thing is jumping) on the 1 part of my body (my left arm) not under the covers, with her icy cold feets.
Brrrrr.

And that makes me glad I got just a regular old alarm clock for my new room, instead of a clock radio alarm like I'd wanted.

Have a good Friday!
love ya,
Mo

Did you think of me when they beat Houston?

Hubby has a clock radio w/ a CD player, and several months ago his CD of choice was The Brian Setzer Orchestra's "The Dirty Boogie." As good as this CD is, I can't tell you how annoying it is to listen to a dozen snooze cycles of the opening bars of "This Cat's on a Hot Tin Roof."

I can see how waking up to the screaming B-52s isn't fun, but I like it more than the way I wake up nowadays. Apparently I have the bladder size of a 93 year old man so I always have to relieve myself exactly 45 minutes before I actually have to get up. Supid bladder.

OK, I was just surfing various blogs, and I came upon yours, and I had to respond, because I have that same cat with the lime picture taped up right next to my computer! It always makes me smile. I am sorry about your sick kitty...I have a sick one right now too. Poor baby. I also noticed that you spent some time in Northern Michigan over the holidays...that's where I am, so I guess your blog just really grabbed me. I hope your kitty and car get better soon!!
